Jim Murphy used to be the founder and owner of Redington (now owned by Sage). Jim brings to us the very fine exotic flyfishing related products. As a proof, he won several times the European EFTTEX. He originated the Nti Quartz fly rods, which are to me one of the best sticks around. He also came with some nice reels, such as the Brakewater.

 

Now, he started a new company Albright. Everything sold there is great. Great rods, great reels. He knows how to design fly gear.

I will be testing the Oasis reel which replaces the Tempest reel, but at an affordable price. I like the concept already: Cork drag, direct drag, bar stock marine grade aluminum CNC machined reel, bronze bushings and made out of marine grade T6061 bar stock aluminum (not mentioned in the ad, but it is important for the overall structural strength).
